day 1

SYDNEY

Welcome to Australia! We meet in the early afternoon with the guide and fellow travelers at the hosting hotel in the city of Sydney. As we head to the dinner location we explore the surroundings of the hotel.

Flight not included. Dinner included. Airport transfer not included. It is possible to leave luggage at the hotel before check-in. We ask for punctuality in reaching the meeting point at 2:00 PM; in case of delay, please inform your travel agent or the hotel reception.

day 2

HUNTER VALLEY – NEWCASTLE

The first stop of the day is a wildlife sanctuary that is home to koalas and kangaroos, accompanied by a ranger. We then reach the wine region of Hunter Valley: we do not miss out on tasting wine, cheese and chocolate! We continue our journey towards Newcastle, a vibrant beach city where we spend the evening.

day 3

PORT MACQUARIE

This morning we travel along the scenic Lakes Way; we walk up to the lookout point that offers us a breathtaking view of the stunning coast of New South Wales. We continue our journey towards Port Macquarie, where we set sail for a sunset cruise: keep your eyes peeled, you might spot a family of dolphins!

day 4

PORT MACQUARIE – DORRIGO NATIONAL PARK

This morning we meet the volunteers at a koala hospital; the pinnacle of cuteness on this tour! We then set off again through the Waterfall Way and the Dorrigo National Park; along the way, we admire the Dangar Falls, where it's also possible to stop for a swim. Finally, we reach the town of Dorrigo, where we stop at a traditional Australian-style pub.

day 5

ORARA STATE FOREST – BYRON BAY

The first stop of the day is the Orara East State Forest, where we meet the land's custodians; we learn the traditional language and practice the local culture. Then we reach Byron Bay, a surfer's paradise: we visit the local lighthouse and try to spot dolphins and whales! We then head to an organic farm where we pick ingredients for our dinner tonight.

day 6

BYRON BAY

Free day at your disposal to continue exploring Byron Bay and the surrounding area at your leisure.

day 7

BRISBANE – FRASER ISLAND

We continue our journey passing through Brisbane and Noosa, one of the best Australian spots for surfing; along the way, we also encounter koalas in a national park. We arrive at Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world.

day 8

FRASER ISLAND

We board an off-road vehicle and set off to explore Fraser Island. Indian Head, Lake McKenzie, the wreck of the Maheno ship, Satinay forest, Brush Box trees of Pile Valley, Wanggoolba, Mile Beach Road, and Eli Creek are some of the attractions we encounter along the way.

day 9

AIRLIE BEACH

We return to Brisbane to catch a flight to Proserpine, where a transfer to Airlie Beach awaits us. We arrive at our destination in the late afternoon; check-in at the accommodation and free time available.

Breakfast included; lunch and dinner at your discretion. Land transfers included; Brisbane-Proserpine flight included. Excursions included. During certain times of the year, the Brisbane-Mackay route is provided, followed by a private transfer to Airlie Beach.

day 10

WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS – AIRLIE BEACH

This morning we set sail for a cruise among the Whitsunday Islands; a stop at Whitehaven Beach is planned, where you can go snorkeling among the rainbow corals and, perhaps, even some turtles! At the end of the excursion, we return to Airlie Beach.

day 11

MISSION BEACH

Today we reach Mission Beach, where the rainforest meets the Coral Sea. We have the afternoon free to continue exploring at our leisure.

day 12

GREAT BARRIER REEF – MISSION BEACH

Today we set sail towards the Great Barrier Reef, accompanied by an expert who will inform us about marine conservation and how we can also contribute to its protection. We put on our snorkeling gear and dive to explore this rich underwater ecosystem. At the end of the excursion, we return to the hotel.

day 13

ATHERTON TABLELANDS – CAIRNS

We set off again, stopping at a waterfall in the tropical rainforest, Lake Eacham and the unusual but must-see fig tree. Our destination for the day is the tropical city of Cairns.

day 14

CAIRNS

Our journey has come to an end. We will make our way to the airport for our return or continue our adventure in Australia.
