ROME

Upon your arrival at the Rome Fiumicino airport or railway station, we'll ensure a group transfer to your hotel in Rome. Enjoy a restful overnight stay at the hotel.

day 2

VATICAN MUSEUM

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at your hotel. Today, we'll embark on an exciting journey to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. We'll arrange your transfer to the meeting point where an expert guide awaits to take you on a skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Complex. Our included excursion takes us to the Vatican Museum. Upon meeting your professional guide, you'll be equipped with a headset and led to the entrance of the Vatican Museum. We'll explore the gallery, visiting renowned spots like the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, and the Borgia Apartments. Our guide will share fascinating insights about the Raphael Rooms and their extraordinary frescoes, including The School of Athens. We'll also visit the Sistine Chapel, home to one of the High Renaissance's most significant works. Our tour wouldn't be complete without a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, the world's largest church housing several fine art pieces like the canopy by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and the Pietà by Michelangelo. We'll conclude with a view of the majestic St. Peter’s Square, a Baroque architectural masterpiece designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. After the tour, you'll have the afternoon free to return to your hotel and rest. In the afternoon, we suggest a walking tour starting with the beautiful parks of Villa Borghese, leading up to the Pincio belvedere for a stunning view of Rome. We'll continue to Piazza del Popolo and Via Margutta, famous from the film 'Roman Holiday', then onto Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain. We recommend visiting the Galleria Colonna, the inner courtyard of the Galleria Sciarra, the Church of Sant'Ignazio, the Elephant Obelisk in Piazza della Minerva, and the Pantheon. Near the Pantheon, don't miss the homemade ice cream at Giolitti, a family-run business for three generations. We'll then proceed to Piazza Navona, known for Bernini's fountain, and Ponte Sant'Angelo, leading to Castel Sant'Angelo. Our walk concludes with Via della Conciliazione and the grand Piazza San Pietro.

day 3

COLOSSEUM - ROMAN FORUM - PALATINE HILL

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. Today, we have the opportunity to delve into the heart of ancient Rome, exploring the iconic Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. We offer an optional transfer to the meeting point where our guide awaits. Equipped with earphones, we'll bypass the lengthy queues and step straight into the Colosseum. Here, we'll tread the same ground where Romans once gathered to witness a myriad of spectacles, from gladiatorial battles to dramatic animal hunts. As we learn more about Roman leisure activities, we'll continue our journey around the Palatine Hill, the birthplace of Rome and the former residence of Roman emperors. The view from here is truly breathtaking! Our exploration continues to the Roman Forum, the vibrant hub of ancient Roman life, where we'll marvel at the remarkably preserved ruins. After the tour, enjoy some free time in the afternoon before returning to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.
