day 2

CANCUN - COBÁ - VALLADOLID - MERIDA

Once we've enjoyed our morning meal, we'll set off to explore the lesser-known archaeological wonder of Coba. Nestled around a cluster of lakes, this ancient city was a bustling hub during the Maya era. We'll delve into the mysteries of unrestored temples hidden amidst the dense rainforest. For those seeking a thrill, there's the opportunity to ascend the towering Nohoch Mul pyramid, the tallest Mayan structure in the Yucatan Peninsula. Our journey continues to Valladolid, a delightful city brimming with friendly Mayan locals who still uphold their pre-Columbian traditions, particularly in women's attire. We'll marvel at the majestic Cathedral of Saint Bernardino and its accompanying monastery, and wander through the city's quaint narrow streets, lined with charming buildings painted in vibrant Mexican hues. After our tour, we'll proceed to Merida.

day 3

MERIDA - YAXCOPOIL - UXMAL

Once we've enjoyed our morning meal, we'll set off for Yaxcopoil, a beautifully restored hacienda from the 17th century, located just a stone's throw from Merida. This expansive property was once a hub for henequen production, and many of its French Renaissance-style buildings have been meticulously restored. We'll take in the stunning interiors before heading to the Mayan ruins of Uxmal, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Uxmal is renowned as the most comprehensive and beautifully preserved example of Puuc architecture, characterized by intricate stone mosaics and towering vaulted arches. We'll wander through the impressive structures, including the House of the Magician, the Nunnery, and the House of Turtles. As we journey back to Merida from Uxmal, we'll pause at the vibrant turquoise cenote of Sambulá. These water sinkholes were revered by the Maya as gateways to the underworld, and many precious artifacts and even human remains have been discovered within them. We'll then make our way back to Merida.

day 4

MERIDA - CHICHEN-ITZA - RIVIERA MAYA or TULUM

We'll set off from Merida after our morning meal, embarking on a journey to the archaeological wonder of Chichen Itza, situated 120 km to the east. Chichen Itza stands as the most well-preserved of Yucatan's Mayan treasures. We'll delve into the heart of a lush jungle to discover these awe-inspiring ruins, including the towering Pyramid of Kukulcan, whose height and intricate geometric design command the entire site. We'll also visit the Great Ball Court, the most grandiose in all of Mesoamerica, and the Sacred Cenote, a natural well with a chilling history of human sacrifice. We'll also explore numerous other captivating temples. Following our exploration of Chichen Itza, we'll whisk you away to a beach destination of your choosing: Riviera Maya or Tulum. From here our services end and you can choose how to continue your mexican experience!
